In 1985, six college friends in Provo, Utah formed a band called Frantic Puppets, blending New Wave, synth-pop, and post-punk influences into their own unique sound. Over the next year, they played club gigs, recorded two albums, and signed a record deal.
Then, just as they were about to release their music and go on tour, a fire destroyed their master recordings, and Frantic Puppets vanished before the world ever got a chance to hear them.
Now, in 2025, their music has finally come to life.
I’m Kara Livingston, granddaughter of lead singer Tasha Calloway, and I’ve been restoring their long-lost recordings using AI-powered tools. What was once lost forever is now available to stream, download, and experience for the very first time.
Welcome to the rediscovery of Frantic Puppets—an ‘80s band you’ve never heard of, until now.
